SCERT Directors
Leadership Program, a collaborative initiative by the School of Ultimate Leadership (SOUL) and the Ministry of Education (MoE), is a two-day event designed to advance school education through leadership development, policy implementation, and innovation. Program conducted with Secretary, State Project Directors (SPDs) and SCERT Directors, the program features expert-led discussions, keynote addresses, and interactive sessions. Participants gain strategic insights on the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and National Curriculum Framework (NCF) 2023, with a focus on data-driven decision-making, policy planning, and technological innovations to drive systemic improvements in education.

The 3rd Policy Workshop was conducted on January 10–11, 2025, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, bringing together 19 SCERT Directors from various states and Union Territories. This program was designed to bridge the gap between policy and practice by equipping educational leaders with practical tools and strategies for effective implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the National Curriculum Framework (NCF) 2023. The workshop aligned with the School of Ultimate Leadership (SOUL)’s vision to empower authentic leaders to advance the public good.
Brief and Objectives
The Policy Workshop is a leadership development initiative that focuses on preparing SCERT Directors to navigate the complexities of education reform and drive positive change in their respective states. The two-day workshop provided participants with an opportunity to explore their personal leadership styles, set strategic goals, and develop action plans for implementing NCF 2023 at the state level.
The program & primary objectives were to help leaders decode their personal leadership styles, align their state-level initiatives with NEP 2020, and incorporate experiential learning into the curriculum.
A strong emphasis was placed on using technology and AI to streamline educational administration and enhance content creation processes. The workshop also encouraged collaboration and networking among educational leaders, fostering the exchange of best practices.
Program Overview
The workshop featured a combination of keynote addresses, interactive sessions, and practical demonstrations.
Day 1 began with leadership development sessions that focused on decoding personal leadership styles and creating actionable strategies. These sessions were designed to encourage reflection on leadership practices and identify areas for growth.
A keynote address by Ms. Prachi Pandey, Joint Secretary, Department of School Education and Literacy (DoSEL), set the tone for the workshop by highlighting the national vision for SCERTs and emphasizing the crucial role of leadership in transforming education. Interactive discussions on aligning state-level goals with NEP 2020 followed, providing participants with valuable insights and strategies for overcoming implementation challenges.
Day 2 was dedicated to exploring the role of technology and AI in education. A live demonstration showcased how AI can revolutionize educational content creation and policy implementation.
Participants then visited the Center for Creative Learning at IIT Gandhinagar, where they engaged in hands-on sessions on creative teaching methodologies led by Prof. Manish Jain and his team.
This visit offered fresh perspectives on experiential learning and its potential to enhance student engagement and outcomes.
