Gujarat CM lays SOUL foundation to train future leaders in politics, social and public policy


Chairman Emeritus of the Torrent Group Sudhir Mehta has been appointed as the chairperson of the board of governors of SOUL.
Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Friday laid the foundation for the School of Ultimate Leadership (SOUL) coming up close to Gandhinagar’s GIFT City. The formal launch of the SOUL which will be done by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi on February 21.
SOUL, formed with the aim of training aspiring youth who wish to enter politics and empowering them to create new opportunities by addressing the “systemic challenges of governance” in India, will be dedicated to leadership development in three key areas – political, social and public policy, a government release said.
Chairman Emeritus of the Torrent Group Sudhir Mehta has been appointed as the chairperson of the board of governors of SOUL, while former finance secretary Hasmukh Adhia is the chairperson of the SOUL Executive Committee. Adhia is also the chairman of GIFT City.
